if u visit www.shadowness.com and check the wallpapers, u see that metalic and silver effect they apply to their pics or to females in them , how is this done ?? photoshop ?? or some plugin ?? any idea graphicers out here ??
i was actually a shadowness member, i wrote a tutorial for them. Basically its a bunch of 3d and photoshop textures being artisticaly blended with photography and design. its not something i can even try to explain in a small paragraph. its very tedious and time consuming.
Wow, you had been a member of them? not bad…
It would be great, if you could explane some of this stuff
edwin was over at 2advanced for a bit too…
can u explain a bit more … like if they use any plugin or filter … is it kind more futuristic … no ?? like terminator …
this is the thing. I know a lot of you guys are used to presseing the distort>spiral filter and seeing the image spiral, or adding a lens flare. Images like shadowness are not made with one or two presses of a button. Yes, filters are used, but not as much as straight up 3d work, airbrushing, layer blending, masks and compositional arrangements. Some of it is textured from other photographs using the Clone stamp. The tools and methods used vary from image to image. I would suggest this. Experiment with photoshop and any 3d package and stop trying to figure out HOW they did it and focus on WHY the image works. The process of how any given image is made is irrelevent since the tools used are nothing special, they are tools that all of our software have. By focusing on why the image works ie. (Color, Shapes, Visual balance, flow) u can get inside the artist head and learn how to make images harmonious with the abilities you have.
