Hi guys
I am in the middle of a commercial job for a client and I am becoming unstuck in getting it all finished. I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction… hope you can stick with me through my long explanation…
The problem is this - I have a website that has a scrolling navigation in the Folio section that is made up of 9 image buttons. You mouse over one of the images and it grows bigger. What I was trying to do was to have it that when you clicked the button a window would pop open with the longer description of the job with more images.
The navigation came from here - http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Interactivity/Navigation/Horizont-Jeremy_B-744/index.php - which I adapted to what I wanted.
I have tried everything to get this to work and it is being totally stubborn. I have tried to put the pop up details in the buttons themselves… tried to put it in the actual horizontal sliding animation… I have even tried to put the extra information in frames and get the buttons to point to the new frames but of course it points to the frame of it’s own animation… nothing seems to work. Its driving me insane and with a client breathing down my neck… its getting a little uncomfortable.
At the moment I am trying to use Javascript to open the window at a set size with no toolbars, scrolls etc.
You can see the file in action here: http://www.guarie.com/Assist/index.htm
And the FLA file can be downloaded here: http://www.guarie.com/Assist/IntroNew.zip
If anyone can see what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction - I would be so grateful!
G
PS The file has yet to be optimised and all the extra crap cleaned out (plus I may need to put in a preloader) but that will come later once I get this sorted out.
