I’m looking to follow this tutorial here (http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/soundbar.htm) and design my own little “preview player” interface. Would it be possible for me to design the interface in Adobe Photoshop and import the design into flash so the action script could be added? I know how to import image files but I’m not sure if that would work.

Also, I’ve designed and incorporated the play button but I’m having a problem understanding what kind of sound files flash can play. Does it matter what format they’re in (because in the tutorial, it links to the file as an .swf file). Would it be ok for me to link to a .MP3 file?
There isn’t a way to import your design straight from Photoshop to Flash (the 2 products are from different companies and aren’t integrated brilliantly with each other), so you’d have to do it bit by bit.
As for the file format, flash can take .wav and .mp3 So yes, you could link to .mp3
