Quick Audio Question... Please advise

Hey people.

I need someone to let me know how I can change the sound of someones voice so that they dont sound like they do in real life but so they dont sound like they are from the witness protection program. Could someone please help. I have tried Sound Forge but am having problems… :frowning:

bump it up chris, cause that’s what I was born to do!

Errmm…

Sound Forge…

Mess with the bass and treble amplitude values. Or the master bass to treble or treble to bass bar.

In FruityLoops there is a main slider that does this perfectly…

Ermm… Finale is good… But not good for this really… Hmm…

I dunno… Just either try and mask the voice wiht the bass and treble bars or oscillate the sound waves a little here and there… It’s really hard.

Thanks very much - I’m gonna try out frootyloops and the stuff from soundforge, I will let you know how I do…

Ok 2 questions…

first - in Frooty Loops, it will not import mp3 so that kind of rooks me right there. Unless I am missing something

second - I dont knwo exactly what you are talking about in Sound Forge, I have gone to the amplitude menu under the sound effects tab - but there is no base or treble options…?

I am compleatly new to this - sorry for the stupid questions

I haven’t opened up Sound Forge in a loooong assed time but there should be an eq type bar thing… Kind-a like the spectrum analyzer you can find…

With these bars spectrum bars I guess you could call them… You can determine the bass and treble output… Just make sure it putputs to file like that then.

The easiest way is to buy a Creative Audigy ;p

There you have plugins to modify everything…

But there are also freeware progs around which can disort voices… But I’ don’t know one now

if you cant manage sound forge or fruityloops then try CoolEdit - i thinks theres some sort of limited shareware which is ok… It’s a bit of a commercial soft but it does what you want… (like you can combine phone tones to a voice… hilarious) and it’s got the shower echo effect, basement effect, wriggle distort, beam etc etc…
