does anyone know how 2A (2advanced.com) do their scrolling menu under ‘portfolio’. i’m trying to figure out a scrolling component that allows mc in them.
any tutorials, links, etc. would be very greatful.

Well, for the scroll bar component…make a text box with text in it. Have it dynamic. Put the var. something like “scrolltext”…drag the scrollbar component, resize with properties or the transform tool. Select parameters, select desired things, such as horizontal scrollbars…target text = the var for the dynamic text, which would be “scrolltext”…

They’re not actually using the scroll bar component in flash. Its just a scroll bar they have made themselves.
So its like this (i think); they have all the buttons in a movieclip, lets call it buttonMC. Then they have the drag bar, a graphic in another mc. Lets call it dragMC.
dragMC has some action script assinged to it that will move the buttonMC up or down. And there must be a mask over the buttonMC so that only part of it shown.
Do a search and i’m sure you’ll find what you need. If you dont post back and i’ll help you put some more.
