so, i bought a little set of files from FlashRelief for their quickPoll software. It traditionally runs PHP, my clients server is only ASP and they won’t install PHP on it. So we had a guy convert the PHP to an ASP file, however, I’m Still recieving: “Error receiving poll data. Please try again later.” when attemping to run the poll.
My folder permissions are set to “777” and still nothing.
I’ve changed everything inside the flash files to call the .asp file but nothing…
I’ve tried the path the the ASP file as a relative path and an absolute path and nothing…
I’ve changed the path to the script in the xml file and nothing…
Here is a funny thing I did notice though, when I test the swf file from my local computer with all files written to the absolute path, I receive the error: “Error creating data file.” - when I upload the file to the testing server, I receive the other error message typed above.
Not sure what is going wrong. Any help you can offer would be great! I’ve attached a zip of sample files for you to explore. Let me know if you need anything else.
