Tried to watch a QuickTime movie today and i got:
Error 46: Could not load or find the QuickTime ActiveX control
So i did some research and found out that apparently QuickTime has issues installing on anything but the hidden Admin account on XP. So i downloaded the QT standalone .exe, rebooted into safe mode, went into the admin account, and then tried to instal QT. I then got this:
1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime.
As i final attempt i booted back into my usual account and tried to use the standalone .exe. Got these:
Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTOControl.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact your support personnel
Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTOLibrary.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact your support personnel
Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTOIPanelControl.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact your support personnel
Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTimeCheck.ocx failed to register. HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact your support personnel
So now QT is installed, but i can’t open it or any QT files.
Anyone got any solutions?
