I’ve seen more and more ads being posted on my local Craig’s List in the ‘jobs’ category that offer no pay whatsoever, or an insult of a pittance. Seriously.

WHAT THE #@!& is wrong with these people!? Videography is a MARKETABLE SKILL. Most, if not damn near everyone in this field goes to Community College at the very least. If you opened a bank, or a hospital, how many applicants for a position that reads “Professional Surgeon needed, no pay”, or “Account manager needed, no pay”. What, do these folks think that all videographers work for the g@&&@#+@d salvation army? It’s infuriating. If you have a project that’s worth a squat, pay people for working on it. Otherwise, eff off.
Just to contrast with this, I had a college student pay me $50 to edit a tape for him last weekend. Done and done. 
In the meantime, I’m flagging all of these ads as ‘miscategorized’, and just for kicks I’m posting that “Top Ten Lies” thread up under the jobs section too, on general principle.If you want someone to come work for you for free, post it in the ‘alms, please’ section, not under ‘jobs’. Jerks.
