I have just been given a job where the client wants a 40 page book that is extremely image heavy ( I’m using imported jpegs) built as a flash movie.
They want the download times to be 25 seconds on a 56k modem and 15 seconds on broadband. I know that this is extremely vague but they want an answer and some proof within the next few days.
My questions are what methods could I use to bring the file size/download times down?
Is it possible to stream swf’s without movies in them, i.e. on the fly?
Oh yeah I forgot on the jpegs there is a lot of copy, this must, and thats a very important must be legible.
For any help, ideas, theories or insane ramblings I would be extremely grateful
