Hey guys. I was surfing the net the other day when a cool thought was thoughted by me :cantlook:(?)
[The bits that don’t make a lot of sense are in italics]
I was wondering what it would be like if the internet was no longer thought of as ‘lots of websites’ but as ‘a whole’ But not completely ‘a whole’…
Allow me to explain…
Wouldn’t it be great if, for instance, you didn’t have to register for everything- for example kirupa forums. What if you just registered an account with ‘The Internet’ and you were allowed to do whatever you please?
At first this concept sounds silly- but hear me out- it would save spam and other such annoyances. You could stop people pretending to be someone else (i.e. in chatrooms etc),
You could stop underage people from looking at underage stuff- using some kind of *special age remembering mechanism… *(?)
Your credit card details would be a lot safer- register it with a secure source and no other company ever has to look at your details (I suppose that’s what PayPal was trying to accomplish).
Of course, my plan for the future of life, the universe and everything needs some tweaking here and there- for instance, businesses collecting data for market research.
Any suggestions, positive or negative feedback? I welcome all who *feedbackerize *…(?)
