Resolution and image...?

ok guys you all need to help me…

I have a image with resolution size 800x600. The image is all fine when i am viewing in such resolution but it distorts when I plug it to 1024x768. I havent given fscommand to fullscreen cos i want whole image to occupy the screen in 1024 res.

Even the text sometimes gets distorted in flash.

Any idea?

its urgent, i need to fix it up asap
lol

tanvi… the resolution means that your picture (800x600) is made up of 800 individual pixels by 600 individual pixels…

if you want to make an image bigger, you cant just stretch it to fit. go back to the source image and save it a 1024x768

there is a lot of literature on the web about screen\image resolution so i suggest you go and read up, because its a fundamental principle for you to understand

the image after viewing in 1024 gets distorted which i dont want to. i also understand resolution fundas but this one is too sticky

If the image you’re working with was never bigger than 800x600, you will never get it to look correct on a higher resolution. Flash just stretches the image you give it.

It’s the simplest principle which applies across the board.

Always create everything the size you want to display it on your website. This includes graphics, flash movies. Then they will always look sharp.

I hate it when you see a web site where the graphic is obviously 30px by 30px but they have put it 100px by 100px in the html code it look so rubbish.

Same with flash if you have created an 800 x 600 movie, keep it 800 x 600 when embedded. :cap:

:h: ( also: are you confusing screen resolution with image resolution, as in all web graphics are always 72 dpi! ? )

not true simononestop mac has a higher resolution. i think it is 96dpi

i know about the image resolution.but the thing i am making is just shape of an object which is placed in the bos of 800x600.now when i am viewing it in 1024 the shapes cures looks garish…i tried creating it in flash too but its same
