hi there,
im just seeing if anyone would know how to create a flash website that can detect anyones browser size (that be their resolution) and adjust it to fit correctly without having scrollbars on the side and bottom… :sigh: .
Ive shown my website to my friend and he has a 800x600 browser and it becomes cut off from the side and bottom… ::hair:
any sort of assistance would be really great…
thnx in advance!!

Hello,
I had the same problem on my site. My underwater camera shots kept getting cut off. I hope that this will help you out also.:beam: You can go to file and publish settings, choose HTML tab then dimensions. Change it to percent and choose 100x100. It sizes the flash to whatever their resolution is. I hope this has helped you.

It will cause scaling, but set the width and the height of the movie to 100% either in the embed code or in the publish settings in Flash.
To disable scrolling use this between the <HEAD></HEAD> tags
<STYLE TYPE="text/css">
<!--
body {overflow: hidden;};
-->
</STYLE>
That works in both NS and IE unlike the IE method of
<BODY SCROLL="no">

Oh yeah, you also need to remove the HTML margins…
You need to modify the body tag to accomodate the margin edits… something like this…
<BODY LEFTMARGIN="0" RIGHTMARGIN="0" BOTTOMMARGIN="0" TOPMARGIN="0" MARGINWIDTH="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0">
RIGHTMARGIN
LEFTMARGIN
BOTTOMMARGIN
TOP MARGIN
Are all for IE and NS
MARGINWIDTH
MARGINHEIGHT
Are just for NS and you should have them just in case.

Sorry I couldn’t help more But other than creating 2 different sized files and using Javascript to detect the resolution for which one to display, you can’t really resize for resolution without scaling :-\
Well… I wish you luck =)
