Voting will now start for the battle with HoJo and alethos! All random posts that have nothing to do with battle will be deleted. Voting will be closed Friday the 13th or first contestant to 30 votes.
alethos for sure. That pic of the arm in HoJo’s entry isn’t even changed form the origonal picture. You can find the exact pic when u do a google image search. I’m kind of glad now that I didn’t enter this one. Alethos would have beaten my entry easily. Nice work. It reminded me of the start of like Resident Evil or something.
I really love movie trailers. Most of the stuff I like to do is set up like a movie trailer or music video. Problem is, at around 18 to 20 FPS, a Flash movie comes out to a whole lot of frames when you have even a short 2 minute song to work with. I have a few projects that were abandoned after a few hundred frames.
I was just suggesting that option because even though I liked both entries as flash pieces. If I was to balance the good and bad things of the work (in both cases) bad things win. So I thought I’d like to vote but for none of them. I’ll explain myself h88 :
I love the rough feel of Hojo’s piece. Please correct me if wrong but my impression is that that wasn’t the intention .
I like Alethos’ alot as well if it wasnt for a small detail of 826K that over a modem (yes!, like in the real world) makes you dislike anything. That is if you actually get to watch it and don’t give up before it downloads.
Sorry bout the filesize, eki, but I asked originally if we had to optimize our files to speed up loading and I think it was Lost who implied that it didn’t matter. Next time I’ll compress a bit more.
As for the “Neither” vote option, I don’t see why it’s necessary. If you vote for the “neither” option, then it’s just like not voting at all. Instead of implementing an option like that you COULD post a comment indicating that you are abstaining from the vote for the following reasons… That way the contestants get feedback (which is a helluvalot more important IMHO, than the votes) and can therefore better themeselves. That’s why I participate in battles: to get better through constructive criticism and exercise. < /rant >
:moustache <—that looks like me, except I look nothing like it.
