I’m doing a project which requires me to decorate a small object (about 20cm square) to communicate a word - mine is Retro.
So i need to think of different things associated with retro, but i’m having a bit of trouble. I’ve been googling 1960’s and 70’s fashion and getting a bit of a clue, but still need more stuff…
so far i’ve come up with the following ideas:
- fake fur (i think there’s a type that looks old, maybe bright colours?)
- mirrors to represent disco balls, so lots of little pieces.
- sequins
- psychadelic patterns
- hippie flower patterns
obviously colours will be really important…
anyone got ideas of what else characterises retro? i guess the hippie movement is grouped with it too.
