'Save target as'

I know this has been asked many times and yes, I have done a search but the answers weren’t what I was looking for.

I have created a photo gallery swf file that can be viewed online on my website and if user want to save it, he can click on a hyperlink I have created but he will have to right-click it in order to save ‘target as’.

But what I want is that any user to left-click it and a windows box would comes up to save the swf file, is that possible?

Also I don’t want zip or right-click because I want it to be designed for internet newbie to use it and that it can be foolproofed! :chinaman:

nope you can’t make windows interact with flash on the web

what you can do is make a getUrl("_blank",“xxxxxxx.jpg”) and then tell the user to save that image

Mlk, wouldn’t that be getURL(“xxxxxx.jpg”, “_blank”); ???

what is it you want to allow the user to save as, the swf or the images?
if images, i posted a zip here a few days ago…

I was asking for save the swf file as…

then no, coz the browser recognizes the file type, can open it, so the only way to force download is to zip it…just put a short text next to it for explanation…
