Okay folks, gotta question for you.
My guy’s mom is looking to buy a flat screen LCD monitor, 17" or bigger (though 17 would be perfect) and doesn’t have a lot of money to spend. She found this one:

and needs to know if it’s worth the money. I don’t really know too much about monitors so I thought I’d come here where the knowledge base is wide and the opinions are informed and welcomed.
Please let me know what you think - I’ve never heard of Gem and Google didn’t turn up much (zero on the actual model #, very little on Scanport GEM series in general).
Any alternative suggestions are most welcome!
