Scene issue

Hello peeps, im a noob at actoinscripting
Anyway, I want the movieclip in Frame 1 Scene 1 to finish before skipping to Frame 2 Scene 1
im using
gotoAndStop(“Scene 1”, 2);
at the end of the MC
