How to hack your school computer isn’t a topic that gets discussed here guys.
If the teacher has ok’d you to download this codec, then guess what? Him/her can go to the tech specialist about it.
And if the school security is like it was when I was in high school; that program is a client and is ran from the server…
so without royally digging into the machine you aren’t going anywhere…
So if its legit, then I guess you and the teacher need to visit the tech specialist.

Alright. Because our computer person in our school just got fired like a week ago. And my teacher doesnt know how to do any work arounds. :*(

I tried putting the codec onto a floppy. But the security on my computer makes it so it doesnt read the floppy. But it reads on his comp lol

I can. But he doesnt want me to. Cuz I’m in Web2 and the Web1 class is watching a movie. And both classes are in the same room. So since were not doing anything hes letting me watch a movie (If I can find the work around) on my comp
You clearly do not have admin access to your workstation. You cannot even view your control panel. Even if you were to find a work around to get out to the divx site and get the install file, you would not be able to install it without admin access to your own machine.
I think your just wasting your time unless you have proper access to your workstation.

we use WINNT server that only allows you to run exe files of the programs you have licences to run.
Of course any exe called notepad will run!

mmh. gimme the url. Ill download it put it on my website with a jpg extension instead of .exe, then your right click & saveas… would that work ? (if the prog is no more than 4megs, otherwise too long to upload on my goddam server…
