Scrolling-Masking Problem!

Hi

I’ve downloaded Claudio’s Scroll AS and his works fine. I modified it a bit. As long as I don’t change the text box size it works OK but the moment I enlarge it , ie, make my own text box the masking doesn’t work.

Here are two .fla’s :

scroll 2.fla - My attempt at enlarging the text box. For some reason the masking doesn’t work.

scroll 3.fla - in this file, I haven’t changed the size of the textbox, only the content of it. The masking somehow works here.

I need someone’s assistance in making scroll 2.fla work.

Please help !!

Are you sure you are using flash mx?

Anyway, Do you have an idea of what could be the problem. Like I said before, except the masking issue, your scrolling AS works fine.

Save the file in mx format and attach it here.

By the way , how do I make the scroll script stop the scroll exactly on the final line of my text and not leave space after the last line ?

On the scroller2.fla you had a lot of white space in the end of the textfield and you forgot to embed the fonts, thats why the text wont show up.

You have to play with the space parameter. Decrease the value to decrease the extra spacing.
