Scrolling Menu help please!?

Hi! I used two tutorials to do this scrolling menu, im trying to test out a different variance on a gallery idea. But its a bit daunting, as since ive got loads of images, the scrolling doesnt seem to be working for me and gives me blank space at times. Can anyone take a minute to check this out and see if they can figure out what im doing wrong? You guys have been great, and im hoping you can help me out again, if you dont mind :slight_smile: ! Hereā€™s the tester (sorry for the size, i am gonna try and reduce it down a bit somehow, just not sure how yet!) :

one other thing, if someone could also help me figure out how to slow it down (I punched in a few different numbers in what i thought might be the right spot, but it didnt seem to do anything different), that would be appreciated as well!

Yes, thanks very much, thatā€™s one of the tutorials i used in this, but im still coming up with the blank space ā€“ i gather its partly because its such a huge scroller that im aiming to do, but i cant seem to compute the correct numbers to get it to work OR im doing something else wrong that i just dont see! Thats also why i linked to my FLA, just in case someone knew something i was doing wrong and needed to see that file too. Thanks very much, im still trying though!! Just cant figure it out, maybe ive been sitting here for too long and need a break and it will come to me i hope! Take care!!

I donā€™t understand why you put tweens in the ā€œButtonsā€ movie clip. How do you want it to work exactly?

OK, I removed all the tweens from that clip, and I changed xcenter from 796 to 200 (that is to say the center of the scene) and it seems to work. :slight_smile:

Hmm, I did the tweens cause another tutorial was saying to do that, bad me for using two :)! But, I did what you said to do, took the tweens out, and changed the xcenter and for the most part, it DOES seem to work but at a few instances it flashes (makes the images disappear) and then comes back after a little ā€“ im not sure what else to try (I uploaded this latest swf version)?? Any thoughts?!? Is it something to do with the size ive got the movie clip of buttons perhaps? Thanks for all your help, its MUCH appreciated!!

Sorry, I changed something else: I put the registration point of the ā€œbuttonsā€ clip at its top left end (or hand, I never know), not in the middle.

If some problems remain, gimme your mail, Iā€™ll send you the file.

I just emailed you via the forum! :slight_smile: I did try and change the registration point, and it now doesnt flash/disappear away but the problem im now running into is, it just scrolls right off the left side without being ā€˜infiniteā€™ so any help is MUCH appreciated!! Thanks again, youā€™ve really been great!!!
