I am using CS4 but my file was created in an older version therefore a lot of the actions are in ACTION SCRIPT 2.
I’m trying to create dynamic text scroller. The default UI scroller cannot be changed in AS2 or I cannot do it.
I’ve tried using the below tutorial.

i have been through it 100 times. It does not work for me. i have checked the variables a million times. Is there some compatibility issue with this code and Flash CS4?
