alright, i’m using photoshop and am trying to get overlapping rectangles with shadows. when i do them individually and import into flash, the shadows are turned black instead of the shadow color i was wanting.

.png werks wonders. solves all this (or should_)
can you import .pngs into flash and it be workable via ie or other internet browsers?
worked out great, thanks for your help mdipi!
.png images aren’t supported by browsers. But the partial transparency option sure is support by Flash
but can you keep the pngs inside flash and will they be able to be seen by all browsers ? (–is the image format handled by the plug-in or the browser?)
yes when the png is inside flash it acts as a part of flash and you do not get that discoloration like when it is in a html page. I recommend doing that with just about all graphics. Especially transparencies.
It’s one of the nice things Macromedia thought of when they designed the programs. Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and all should integrate seamlessly.
Although would be nice if the next version of Flash had some of Photoshops effects.
np hojo. and kit i agree! :beam:
which photoshop effect would you want ?
I dont think flash will concentrate on raster art…
I know, I know… But wouldn’t it be great if were able to apply some of the filters to Flash vector images? Like ripples and noise and stuff…
I suppose I don’t really mind, since the type of thing I do with Flash doesn’t really require these effects.
drop shadow? lol inner shadow. i know you can make 'em real nice but still it would be nice to have stuff like that with a touch of a button
