i’ve just made a nice menu bar in photoshop and i wanted to import it into flash.
the only file type i could save it to that it would preserve the transparency with was .png, but when i import .png’s into flash MX it crash’s my whole computer (flickers up with some DOS crap and then restarts)
should i save it as a different file type, or update flash MX, or get rid of some of my flash MX extensions, or something else?
whoa now thats wierd what OS are you using win98??? that is truly a very weird problem but there is a utility called psd2fla try searching for it on google maybe that will fix your problem or you can always export as a transparent gif
try simply copying in PS, then paste in Flash…
It should work…

fireworkls doesnt work now cos the 30 day trial thing ran out.
i managed to save it to .fla in the end by importing it into flash 4 instead, and then opening the saved .fla with flash MX
import it to flash as a jepg or sum, and just break it apart, and then remove the bakground. If that helps you…
i’ve got it now, thanks.
it must just be a problem with my flash MX cos i use flash 4 instead and it worked fine
