I wonder if it is possible to show only the top part of a movie for some scenes? I have set the movie size to 800x1200, but would only like to see the top 800x600 in the browser window for some scenes (the reason for this is that one scene might have very little content, while other scenes could have a lot). Is that possible? I guess that either it’s impossible or it’s dead simple…

masking?
I’m not sure I understand fully… If your main screen size is larger, you will have a scroll bar, even if you only show a smaller amount, since the main movie sets the size of the stage and fps…

I don’t get the question really … For the part I get it : use masks.
I realize now that I wasn’t very clear. I would like flash to “believe” that the movie size isn’t really 800x1200 but 800x600.
My idea was that the entire 800x1200 movie would be loaded but after that would flash (somehow) be told that the movie is 800x600 and therefore display only this upper half of the 800x1200 movie for this particular scene.
The reason for this is that the bottom part of this scene is empty and otherwise would the viewers see nothing but a blank page when scrolling down the page in their browser. I realize that this could look like a weird way to design things, but I’m kind of an HTML guy…
What do you think?
Cheers
