I’m looking for music creating programs that are simple to learn and use. They don’t have to be fully featured. Preferably free. Any suggestions?
and what does this ahave to do with game/ai, and what kind of music creating program are you looking for a mixer, or one with a bunch of compiled songs/lyrics etc to add together for a game?

It has to do with game/Ai because the music is for my game :). Where would you have put it?

I probably would have put it in the computers/technology or the random forum, or i would have done a google search before i even posted a thread asking for a good music program,

Sony ACID Xpress. Despite the fact that it’s free, it’s got 10 tracks!
But there’s a BIG down side to it.
You can only sequence loops in it, no self-comp melodies, percussion lines etc.
So the rank that you’d get outta it won’t read this: Musician.

And Audacity is for mastering purposes, not for music creation.
You don’t need to worry about audio mastering right now. Learn to create some music first :thumb:
Along the lines of a virtual keyboard?
Millions of free VST’s (Read: Virtual instrument plugins) but you need a VST host for that. Such engines are huge and the most pop names are FL Studio, Reason, Cubase, Nuendo.
I am personally in love with FL Studio though! :thumb:
Bombsledder: Looking back, this probably wasn’t the best place to put this, and even if it was, I should have been more clear that the music was for a game and not just a random request in the wrong forum. Still, I did run a search on google, but here I was looking for opinions and suggestions, both of which google is lacking. It would be as if for some reason, having never tried fish, I decided I wanted to. Instead of picking a random fish from the ocean and frying it up, I decided to ask someone who has tried it before to give me advice.
