First thing I noticed was that your pixel fonts on the nav were blurred, also on other text throughout the site fonts were also blurred - this is a very common problem make sure your text is set on whole numbers.
I thought the transitions were smooth but I thought that the colour scheme and general depth of the layout could have some work done to it, I think a little colour added would give the layout a lot more life.
I thought the header graphics was quite bland but again I think this is because of the lack of colour incorporated into it. I also noticed that on some of your content boxes there were characters replaced by vertical rectangle boxes which tells me that the font you used does not have that character this looks very unprofessional.
Apart from the above I thought the foundations of your site were excelent and all that needs working on is the face of your site.
