I found some code on your site a while ago that allowed me to click a button and make the movie move back and forth using the x position. I wanted to try moving it around using both the x and y position, but im not sure what i am doing. it is working somewhat, but it is not going to a specific spot. i dont understand if it is working right. does anyone know how to do this?

i looked at your fla and i thought the AS you were using was more complicated than it really needs to be. try looking at this fla i’ve made. the AS might be a little easier to understand. all you’ll look at is the AS for the buttons and for the yellow box mc.
the buttons set the endX and endY values for the yellow box. the box then moves accordingly.
btw, we’re talking about easing if you want to search the forums for it. you might find some posts on it.
I was thinking it was seriously to complicated, but Im still learning actionscripting so I was not sure what I could take out.
