I searched the forums for the answer but I can’t seem to find my answer. With that said here is my question. I made a flash movie which I added a preloader, and streamed music on it. When playing it, it still has some spots where the movie slows down and the music stops because it is streamed. I have it set for 30 fps and have been playing around with that also but it does not seem to work. Is there anyone out there with a tutorial for a preloader which will compile the movie first to make it smoother or another method that may help me out? Thanks,:bu:

You could change the way you compress the sound. Try changing the export compression from default to a low bitrate mp3

Thanks for the reply. Does sound make such a big difference? I made the music low quality using acid 4.0. :beam: If I make it a lower quality it will help huh? I will try it.

If all else fails, you can import the sound into your library and use it from there. Your file size will be bigger, but the sound would be loaded with the preloader as well as the animation.

No, then I’m not sure about your music situation. You said that it was ‘accidentally’ put in the library - did you drag it from the library onto your timeline? And if it is, you may want to change streamed to event or something else so it loads with the preloader; otherwise it may…stream…:stuck_out_tongue:

Other than that, I know that mine chokes up a lot because it’s old and slow. Poor machine…
