SMS Email?

Well, here’s a long shot. Since I’m going off to college soon, the dad wants to stay on contact with me through sms during the day. He doesn’t have a cellphone nor want to get the AIM thing going. I can setup my cellphone to receive from a mailbox, but it’s 5c per kb so it’ll stack up. So, how would I go about this, sending an email to an address that’ll forward it to sms and do it backwards too…how would I even google it?
