Hello! First off, I’d like to say that is a great site full of clear, consise, flash tutorials! Others seem to boggle me or never have what I’m looking for… O_o
Anyway… On to what I need help with.
I saw the 2 tutorials on the site on how to create falling snow.

The first, older tutorial, worked just fine, minus the exception that I can’t hide the snow behind another layer, or anything, for that matter. The second tutorial, I could’ve sworn I replicated exactly… However, for some reason when I try to run my movie, it freezes, and flash gives me the warning that the script might indeed freeze my computer. (Which it does if I decide to run the script anyway.)
However, the code works just fine when I run the tutorial (The FLA file) itself. However, if I even attempt to copy those pieces from the FLA file over to my project, it yet again, freezes. I’ve tried readjusting the size, and lowering the snow particles (to 2) and it still freezes.
I don’t really understand what’s wrong, my images aren’t lagging it, I’ve only got 1 frame on the movie, and when I put it in a blank movie, it still freezes.
Basically, the older tutorial works fine but… I need the snow hidden behind a layer. (I used the layer as a Camera known as the VCAM, and it also doubles as a widescreen effect.) The 2nd one looks like it does that, but I can’t get it to work!
I searched the forum and only found half of the answer to my problem, but even then it applied to the 2nd tutorial, in which, I couldn’t get to work in the first place!
I’ve included a URL to my FLA project below. I’m using Flash8 (Even though the tutorial said it was for MX, I was able to run the 1st tutorial with my movie, and the 2nd tutorial by itself.)
