Some advice?

I got this flash site, and i made transitions between pages. each page has a different colour. So naturally there are the corresponding transitions.
Lets say Home page is orange. I want it so that whenever you click to another page from homepage, it plays the orange transition.

right now i have home page in Frame 1, home page transition in 2, contact page in 3, i have more pages coming etc…

how would i make it so that when i click to go to contact page from home page, it would play transition homepage. Also, if i want to go to portfolio page, i want it to play homepage transition as well.

Here is a little trick I assume most people know about it but you never know. You do more or less what Adam14 said except instead of making a bunch of new .fla files you keep it all in one .fla file.

1 figure out the grouping of your movies i.e. Home, About Us, Contact Us etc…

2 cut the frames for a group

3 create a new scene and paste your frames into the new scene

4 do this for all the groups and name the scenes accordingly

5 now for the hard part :slight_smile: j/k select your scene and test the movie ( ctrl + enter ) it will create a .swf file in the same folder you loaded your .fla file from. It will save it with the scene name as a part of the file name.

You do that for each scene and now you have all your seperate .swf files but all in one .fla file

I found that this helps keeping things organized
