Sound wav -> mp3

Hi all, I need a really big favour done. I have a .wav file (it’s a loop, that’s 1mb) that I want to make smaller, and into mp3 so it’s small in Flash. I tried all of the wav to mp3 conversion tools, but they ALL leave a gap in front and behind the new .mp3; so the new loop, when looped, has gaps in the middle. Can someone who has a pro Sound edditing program (Such as Acid Pro stuff, that can accurately edit/convert sounds) please convert this file for me?

Since I Paid for this loop (dun dun dun), I don’t want to just post it out in the public here. So someone who has a program that can convert, please PM me =)

Thanks a lot =)

You can import it as wav, and then export as mp3 when you export your flash file. Why do you need to convert it?

The current wav file is 1.2 megabytes. If i Import it and export it, it’s going to be HUmoungous. And if i shrink down the size of the wav when exporting in flash, it’ll be really bad quality. But with mp3, it’s more compressed. Smaller file size doesn’t mean bad quality…

have you tried using audacity? That’s always worked pretty well for me.

Here’s what you do: Import your wav into your flash, in the library right-click on it and select export options, choose mp3 and the bitrate and stuff and you’re done! :slight_smile:

Yep, tried Audcity, there was a gap.

Phat7, i’ll try your method =)

I was gonna ask the same thing :slight_smile: I got it last night to pump up the volume (haha) of some songs I recorded that sounded real low. It was easy, and amazingly enough, totally free. I love it.
