i have this trouble with flash. When i made a loop in Sonic Foundry Vegas
and export this to a low quality .wav file, i can import this lop into flash
and the wav file act just as the lop that i made, you don’t hear the ‘tick’
Now this .wav file is around the 600/700 kb, pretty much to load if you are
visiting the site with a 56k6 modem. So i thought, export it as a .mp3 file,
and so i did. Good quality and a nice filesize, only 50kb or so! But what
isn’t good, is that the program adds a silent part at the end of the file,
so when i import the .mp3 file in flash i don’t get my nice loop. Also flash
ads a silent part at the begin.
Anybody has a solution how to make loops out of songs, and import them
in flash so i get a nice loop which isn’t big of size?
Okay, so this is not a full amount of help, but it may start you down the right path:
First, it’s very true that .wavs make a much better sounding and playing loop in Flash. BUT the file sizes tend to get large.
However, you could take your 50K .mp3 and edit it with the built in sound editor/clipper in flash and take off those silent parts at the ends, OR you could consider making a separate .swf out of the sound and have it load it into the movie and loop from there using the attachsound method (I know I saw it somewhere in these forums a while ago and people always want it).
Neither of these are ideal but tell me if they sound like a start.
The plan already was to load the sounds from a different
.swf file, so i can make sort of a julebox without the vissitor
has to load al the music files at once, but i also wanted that
the files would load prety fast, for that i wanna use .mp3
files. Can u tel me how the music editor in flash works, cause
i tried to use it, but i only can adjust the volume, if u know what
i mean. i could not remove parts, but is this can, it would be
great, please tell me how.
