Spyware Must Die!

HAHA i just cleaned my computer of spyware and geez there was a ton of stuff. a whopping total of 341 items!!! but i feel great now. its actually utilizing all of its 256 mbs of memory.
seriously, i used lite versions of certain programs and its amazing how much spyware/adware i didnt even know about
anyways, hopefull some of you will do what i did. really surprising

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,981130,00.asp

that sure does the trick. was rated highest in pc mags article and its free too.

i usually use lavasoft’s ad-aware… but this one seems interesting… i’ll check it out, thanks for letting us know, cause i need it

;p That is awfull, how can u get so many viruses…
I had once 13 and i thought that would have been a lot

do you have kazaa, or any program like that, they come in on thoes things.

that is why I use ZoneAlarm. At one time, over 10.5 Gigs of info was being stored on my machine without my knowledge…

Rev

i have zone alarm Pro. I also use Pest Patrol. They both work really well to get rid of spy ware.

darn.

I remember that Rev - that was me by the way. I was using your computer as a dump for all me 0-day movies… thanks

me2 :frowning:

I got so pissed I wrote a VB program to delete the stuff…

that really helped. I was wondering where all these pop ups came from when ever i opened up my browser

laughs

I discovered progs like this a while ago. Lifesavers.

goes to get some candy

Anyways, yeah. I think I’ve just converted from lavasofts.

Why?

Cause the first time I ran Ad-Aware it froze. And the second, and the third.
it eventually did the job, but I think it was overloading from the gargantuan amount of spyware I collect.
:stuck_out_tongue:

i just scanned my system with spybot… it got things lavasoft didnt… thanks fez :beam:

I downloaded Sygate Firewall a while back, and it conflicted with my OS (98) and said that teefer.vxd and other files had been deleted from my system… after a lot of fuss, i reinstalled the program and did a fresh uninstall and that did the trick, i am not downloading that companies software anymore.

I have Kazaa lite = no spy ware
