Anyone know the difference? I’ve heard that Hibernation shuts off certain parts of the computer if not completely and just dumps the ram onto the HD and picks it up again at boot. If so, then what does Standby do? Also, is there a way to keep AIM or MSN running? I always get disconnected when I go into Hibernation. Standby freezes the computer.
