I have discovered that if you use TLF text in Flash CS5 or later, it makes you download your entire SWF before playing the first frame.
This defeats your pre loader if you are using one similar to the sample template called “Preloader for SWF” that resides on Frame 1 of your SWF, and loops until the whole thing is loaded, and then pushes you on to frame 2.
I currently am using one of these pre loaders, and the RSL it is interfering. I don’t want to change to an external pre loader for various reasons too numerous to go into here. Does anyone know how to disable and bypass the RSL TLF pre loader? I have tried to remove all my TLF text, and convert them to classic, and there is no more left, but it is still causing problems.
I just need my good, old fashioned pre loader to work…
