I have the most bizarre issue with Flash 8. I have a dynamic text field importing text from an xml file. In order to alter the alpha of the dynamic text field, I embedded the font (arial, bold). It works fine with the font not embedded, however, when I do embed the font (uppercase, lowercase, numeric and punctuation) the letter spacing is much larger than it should be.
Ticking “Auto Kern” will make the text box disappear all together. Any suggestions? I have tried embedding my font and that makes no difference.
