I’ve only seen this work “for real” when the vendor portal is forced to be the source of truth, like they upload the SOC/COI there and the system just nags both sides until it’s current. Most places I’ve been around still end up emailing PDFs around and then yeah… it’s a spreadsheet with nicer fonts.
