Surface Tracing CnC

Link

Been doing some work in surface tracing and I would love to get some CnC on the project as a whole. What do you think? What should be different/improved? Where should I take it next? Thanks a bunch.

I’m impressed, but as far as knowing what it really is for I haven’t a clue so I can’t help you out … possibly some descriptions of what you have done this for, what it is actually doing and representing etc…??

wow…lol dunno what that is but its somthin… goodjob.

Is that CPU dependant? ie can it trace faster than that?
If so it could be very very nice, especially if you can (take it next) have variable shading.
Nice idea!

Thats cool and all, but does it run Linux?

There is not really any purpose for it I would suppose. I am just experiment with how fast/far Flash can take surface tracing and what all you can do with? Basically it is representing a multivariable function, ie z = sin(x) + sin(y) or something of the sorts. It takes the results from a given span of x and y and then graphs. It then takes the surface and colors it according to height.

If you use the top scroll bars to get a better percision of what the surface should look like, anything over 5 x 5 will be pretty CPU extensive. Been looking for ways to make it trace faster but havn’t come up with any so far. What do you mean by variable shading?

I would have no clue if it ran in Linux, what are the differences of Flash in Linux?

i don’t think there are any differences. nice app, btw:)

How would you guys suggest I go about speeding it up? Would an increased framerate work?
