Just pickd up on the ‘rant about mac’s’ thread. And thought I would throw it in the air.
I have a Mac Powerbook g4
I am currently trying to sell it privately and buy a Dell or Hp with equal specs if not better and all for a fraction of the price.
This Powerbook was purchased for $4500 nzd and two years latter I would be lucky to get $1000 for it.
Apart from no viruses and a cleaner look and interface style I dont see the actual benifits of running a mac. And I thrash the hell out of them. So the cheaper it is the easier it is to get over it and buy a new one.
I reckon that computers depreciate soo quickly that they are worthless in 3-5years.
But I am obviosly up for suggestions on why not to sell up.
