Swf background color vs. browsers background color

Am I the only one struggling with my flash backround not synching with the browsers background color? What I mean is, when my flash file has a bg of #cc9900, and my webpage has the same background, they are still different shades when I look at the webpage with the flash file in it.

I’m sure you guys get the same thing… so what do you do?

browsers can render hex colours a little strangely sometimes.

one workaround is to create a 1 pixel gif of the colour you want and use it as your background instead of spec’ing a hex colour.

yeah that’s what i used to do and it worked, but it’s not working this time… there’s still that crazy difference in shade.
