does anyone know of a free swf decompiler that maintains the actionscript? i’m trying to get hold of a few of my old flash files, though the fls were dumped ages ago and i only have the swfs left.

the first link gives you a demo.
yeah jubba, wicked, although being a demo it only proceses the first five frames. is there a free one anywhere? i’m a bit stingy to buy a program.

If you are too cheap to buy the prog… then don’t speak of trying to subvert the process on this forum please.
BTW - I deleted the post about cracking software by ricj. Use your heads people… Kirupa is a teaching and education forum, not a hack and crack supply house…
do a search, you can find what you need… most will not capture the actionscript anyway…

i used this program in the past, i needed to get some of my files that i deleted off my computer. it works great, i only had the trial though. 
there’s an open source called Flasm (search SourceForge.net for it)… it’s not anywhere as powerful as ASV or sothink’s swf-decompiler though…
