I wasted quite a bit of money recently trying out various products to convert several flash cartoons I made to video only to get crappy results that did not work well for me and one was not even compatible with my audio card. Yes, part of it is my fault for not taking a few days to research before making a purchase but a lot of the demo software they provided locked out features to get you to buy.
I finally came across a VERY good (and I mean VERY) program made by Moyea called “Moyea SWF to Video Converter” that really did what it says. My video and audio synced perfectly unlike these other programs I wasted $70.00 to $90.00 on.
** If you are looking for a really good way to convert your Flash MX, or Flash 8 swf files to video. I’m going to strongly recommend this company.**
I HIGHLY recommend you download their trial version and render some files before buying it. Unlike the others, you have full access to all the features of the product and when you render your video, it puts a small watermark in the top left area of your video so you can actually see how well it really works. (Other programs put a horrible X in front of your screen)
This program converts to many different codecs including AVI, MOV, MPEG1 & 2, MP4, XViD, DivX, and more. It also has a batch encoder, and you don’t have to have all of your movies rendered on the main timeline. So far, this has to be the absolute best conversion software I have found- PERIOD.
** Here are some programs I wasted my money on…**
- FlashAnts 1.1 (I read about Flash Ants on the Adobe site…that’s why I was STUPID enough to buy it) the worst purchase I could have ever made.
- Sothink SWF to Video - Although it works ok. My main computer it would not detect my audio card or render audio. (They claim to be Adobe Recommended. I don’t recommend it)
- AdShareIT - Video came out worse than 1:1 - the audio was chopped up and the playback stuttered.
