Hey, quick question for anyone who knows, whats an average file size for a swf website? obviously it depends on the content and type of website, but in general terms? A website ive made for a client, which will shortly go live has as 2mb .swf as the main thing, all its content is inside it, no linking to any external images because it just seemed easier at the time. if i stimulate the download on 132kbs connection it takes a reasonable 10-14 seconds to load, when trying online its more like 30.
Ive tried to save all the jpegs as low quality as i can, although is there an easy way to find out the biggest files in your flv? i fear a .ai file i copied in a while back has some extra baggage or somethings hiding somewhere which could be cut out.
I’m not a newbie on flash, an this is the second site ive made, i thought i was being careful with file sizes this time round but it seems even 2mb is too big…
