Hey peeps.
I’m a relative newbie to Flash, so bear with me.
I’m trying to synchronise the movements of various objects in a movie symbol to music. I’ve got an MP3 loaded and I’m able to do a few things here and there, but for the most part I’m finding it’s exeedingly difficult to time the movements correctly.
Is there some way that I can corelate the location of various sounds in the MP3 (via timecode given by Peak for example) to the frames in my animation?
I assumed that if I set the measurement units in my audio application to something like 24fps (the lowest framerate I can use), I would be able to create a 24fps Flash and set the keyframes I need to make my objects move at the same locations (using the timeline’s information). But it doesn’t seem to work that way.
Is there a tutorial or some documentation somewhere out on the web that will show me how to do this? I followed a link from Bella Online that brought me here (via a dead link) that gave me some insight, but I’m not quite sure how to apply the equation listed there to what I want to do (or if it’s even needed)
Any help would be appreciated.
