Tagets vs. levels

I was just wondering what the best and most efficient way is for loading movies.

I have currently been loading them onto different levels but have heard arguments that loading movies into target MCs is a better method.

Any thoughts?

I meant targets, not tagets.

It depends, as always :slight_smile:

Loading into target allows you to manipulate the clip you load just like any other clip, and interact easily with the rest of your movie clips.
Loading into levels might be pratical for scope issues, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

So with a full flash site, would targets be the way to go?

For instance, if you take a look at bit’s lab ( www.bit-101.com/lab.html ), he loaded into level, because it’s much more practical. It might also be useful if you want to load something that’s not going to change, and that you want on top of everything else, like a MP3 player for instance.

But for everything else, load into a clip.
