hi chaps, hope you can help me. go to this site http://www.evb.com

right, now on this site, the content area and its borders/shadows allways shifts to fit the content. It does this without seeming to alter the scale of both the shadow and the white border.

how is this done? i’ve been using flash for ages, but this effect has allways eluded me.

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated

I’m not sure about that, but if the shadow is resized along with the main clip (actually if it’s part of the main clip), there shouldn’t be problems, no?

i know what your say ing but say, if you were to scale the clip just on its x axis, the shadow would have narrower sides than the top and bottom.

but this doesnt happen here, even when the content area is “squeezed” the shadows width remains constant.

you know what i mean?

could it be a shape tween?

OK, I see what you mean, and I don’t know how they did that. Maybe they used 4 separate clips, one for each edge, and they all position dynamically and strech either horizontally OR vertically. Maybe… :slight_smile:
