Terrence the Armless Ninja - The pre-pre-pre-pre-beta

A few of you may remember my project from long ago known as Terrence the Armless Ninja. Well my hard drive pretty much went plop and I lost everything; only now have I just found a reallllyyyyy old published SWF file, and thought it would be fun to give you guys a taste of what could have been.

Now this SWF was published long before I had even made the cut scenes, enemies, sfx or even the levels, and is far from being an actual game, so don’t get your hopes up; think of it as more of a template of what the game could have been.

It’s buggy as hell and doesn’t have a pre-loader, so refresh after loading it the first time. You can get to the sketched out second level by tapping on the down arrow of your keyboard twice. There are some cheats, 1 actual level, 1 sketched level, 1 kind of enemy, 3 attacks and some sound effects I made. Enjoy!

■■■■ that is pritty good, !!!

can’t you crack the swf open?

I like it. The whole thing is pretty well done, and I like the illustration. It’s fun to play too.

Shame you lost the source.

It would be very fun if it ran faster, and at 60fps.

I had it running so fast before my hard drive fried. I had sectioned each level in to stage sized fragments, so you only have 2 loaded while walking, and 3-4 while jumping. It sped everything up so much faster than just having a huge flat bitmap. Oh well, on to bigger and better things!
