Ok I know how to make basic flash movies but I have absolutely no idea how to use actionscript. Every tutorial I read says ‘‘you should be familiar with the basics of actionscript’’ Well what about if you don’t know them? Is there a good tutorial that explains everything?
everything?? no, that would be a long tutorial. Have you started with Flash help? Theres a lot of information there, not only the AS dictionary outlining all the functions and properties and things of the such, but also sections like “Writing Scripts with ActionScript” and “Understanding the ActionScript Language” etc. Plus theres examples all over the place to download and learn from. =)
If I were you I would just try the tutorials here, read them and the script. Try to understand what’s in them, and what the different functions do. Change some values, test the movie and see the result. I am no action script expert, but I can readmost of the scripts and understand what it does.
And of course, if you have any questions you post them here, and there are sure to be some people that can help you
