ive tryed to work with the liquify effect a few times, mostly just to see what the revert looks like:crazy: but never thought about using it like that

Try bumpin up the contrast on that image and use the color burn tool on some parts. It will look more like real flames, cool effect though. =)

I started out with a rocky texture, and messed around with it. I ended up with an awesome texture, much better than the final result. Stupid me, I forgot to save it as a psd, after I cropped it, this is all that is left!
